We booked a four night break to Jersey with Great Value Holidays through Travelzoo and were very pleased with everything. The EasyJet flights were very good and at civilised times. The Hotel de France in St Helier was excellent, everything good quality and spotlessly clean, beautiful spa and pool.
We were allocated a lovely large room on the top floor. The restaurant was great, huge afternoon tea, lovely breakfast buffet and additionally you could order extra items freshly cooked. We ate a couple of times in the evenings as well. All staff we had contact with were great, very helpful and friendly.
I have a leg injury at the moment and hadn’t realised the hotel was elevated from street level. There’s a building in front of it (Medical Centre) and attached car park. Looking at the medical Centre you will see shallow steps on the right through shrubbery up to the hotel.
There’s regular buses from the road below the hotel and a courtesy bus from the hotel into the town.
