Venture out of your resort today to visit the ruins of the sanctuary
of Ammon Zeus. This sanctuary is particularly unique as it was built
around 400 BC to honor the god ‘Ammon Zeus’ which is a combination of
the Egyptian God Ammon and the Greek God Zeus. You can find this iconic
sanctuary situated on the beach of Kallithea.
Alternatively, you may wish to discover the wild beauty of Greece by visiting the Mavrobara Turtle-lake, found near the Polychrono village. Here you can see three different rare types of turtles which have helped coin this area as a nature reserve. Though the surrounded forest was burnt down in a fire in 2006, the lake is still stunning with the surrounding areas re-growing.

Head to the east coast of Kassandra today to see the Lagoon & Port Glarokavos, known as the ‘Gulf of seagulls’. The sandy lagoon is perfect for pictures, while summer beach bars provide lively entertainment during the season. You may also like to pay a visit to the Folk Museum of Kassadreia, marvel
at the landmark Byzantine tower, or stroll around the 3,000 year old

old alleys and endless olive groves, or explore the quaint village of
Agia Paraskevi known for its traditional architecture which showcases
