Day 1. Welcome to Madeira!
Arrive at Madeira Airport, just ten minutes from your hotel, and settle into your room. Take in the Atlantic views before heading down to the beach for a first stroll along the golden sand. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel and raise a glass of Madeira wine to a well-earned holiday.

Day 3. Machico Bay
Today is a great opportunity to explore Madeira's famous levada walks. The island's network of irrigation channels winds through some spectacular landscapes, and several trails are easily accessible from Machico. Consider the Levada do Caniçal for a gentle coastal walk with striking sea views, or head a little further to Ribeiro Frio for lush forest scenery. Return to the hotel in time for a dip in the pool before dinner.

Day 4. Machico Bay
Take a slower day and make the most of the hotel's beach access. Claim a sunbed on the golden sand, swim in the calm waters of the bay, or treat yourself to a spa treatment at the spa. In the evening, the hotel restaurant awaits with regional Madeiran specialities, perhaps including espada, the distinctive scabbard fish served with banana that is a local favourite.

Day 5. Machico Bay
Head west today for a taste of Funchal, Madeira's elegant capital. The city's famous Mercado dos Lavradores is a riot of colour, packed with tropical flowers and exotic fruits unique to the island. Take a ride on the famous Monte cable car for sweeping views over the city and bay, and perhaps try a traditional toboggan ride back down the hillside. Return to Machico for dinner and a comfortable evening on your balcony.

Your Madeira holiday comes to a close today. After breakfast, your private transfer will take you to the airport for your return flight home.
