Day 1. Welcome to Ireland!
Once you have arrived at Dublin Airport, collect your hire car and enjoy your one-hour drive to County Cavan and Cabra Castle Hotel.
Check in, take a moment to take it all in, and perhaps wander the 100 acres of parkland and gardens surrounding the hotel. In the evening, get your trip off to a fine start by enjoying your included castle dinner.

From the moment you arrive through the acres of beautifully manicured gardens to this magnificent 19th century 4-star castle hotel in the Cavan countryside, you will feel welcomed and thoroughly spoiled. Set on 100 acres of parklands and gardens, with the magnificent backdrop of Dún a' Rí Forest Park, there is much to explore both indoors and out. Cabra Castle is one of the most unique luxury hotels in Ireland and is also one of the best-known castle wedding venues in Ireland. (Please note: Cabra Castle accommodations are not located within the main castle building).
Built in 1760, this upscale hotel is lavishly decorated with tall ceilings and grand staircases. Guest rooms are designed in a historic fashion with all the modern amenities a passenger needs to stay comfortable including a satellite TV, tea/coffee maker, and more. The Cabra Castle Hotel also has an on-site restaurant serving delicious local cuisine, as well as a bar perfect for relaxing with a drink.

Today is yours to explore at your leisure. Consider heading down to the pretty market town of Cavan itself for a browse, or follow the Cavan Burren Park trail through ancient limestone landscapes.
Back at the castle, you might find a quiet spot in the gardens or settle in by an open fire with a well-earned drink.

Day 3. County Cavan
Today is the perfect day to explore Dublin, which is just an hour away.
Visit the Temple Bar District, stroll through St. Stephen's Green, or treat yourself to a visit to the Guinness Storehouse for a self-guided tour and a pint with a view. The city has no shortage of traditional pubs to duck into as well.
Head back to Cabra Castle in the evening at your own pace, perhaps stopping at a country pub along the way.

Day 4. County Cavan
Spend your final full day making the most of the castle and its grounds.
Perhaps take a morning walk through the parklands or explore some of the quieter corners of Cavan you haven't reached yet. The nearby Killykeen Forest Park, set on the shores of Lough Oughter, is ideal for a relaxed lakeside stroll.
In the evening, why not treat yourself to a drink in the castle bar and raise a glass to a memorable Irish stay.
