Arrive in Porto, pick up your car hire, and then drive to your accommodation in Guimarães. Upon arrival, enjoy your complimentary wine tasting. If you arrive later in the day and need to regroup, you can instead enjoy the welcome tour tomorrow.

1720 Quinta da Cancela is a 4-star Winery and Farmhouse that's proudly 300 years old. Built in 1720, the property was restored in 2007 and has been in the same family for six generations.
This property offers a variety of amenities for guests to enjoy including a garden, bar, and barbecue facilities. There's also a pool, terrace, restaurant, and coffee shop on-site. Guests can participate in on-site yoga classes or explore the surrounding area with cycling, hiking, and walking tours. Indulge in exquisite wine tastings, or enjoy a delicious scenic picnic.
The award-winning guest house is complete with a seating area, TV, private bathroom, hair dryer, and dining area.
Guimarães Castle, Ducal Palace, and the Image Museum are all within a 20-minute drive from the property.
Day 2. Guimarães
Enjoy a morning at leisure and have a delicious breakfast to start your day. Then, take advantage of the incredible amenities located on-site (including the winery tour if you missed it yesterday). You can relax and soak up the sun by the pool, take a scenic stroll around the garden, or even explore the area with a bike.

Day 3. Guimarães
After breakfast, consider making use of your car hire to explore more of the area. Visit Guimarães Castle and explore its magnificent walls. Then, immerse yourself in the history of the Palace of the Duke of Braganza - a stunning 15th-century palace with extravagantly adorned rooms and finely crafted tapestries.
In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through Guimarãe's charming historic centre. Admire the colourful buildings and cobblestone streets. Then, indulge in a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4. Guimarães - Lisbon
Bid Guimarães farewell and drive to Lisbon today. After settling into your hotel and relaxing for a bit, venture out to discover some highlights of the city. You can explore the Belém Tower or Jerónimos Monastery, both known for their stunning architecture and history, or admire Portuguese art at the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga. Before you head back to the hotel, make sure to try the famous custard tart, Pastéis de Belém.
