Here, you'll have the exciting opportunity to visit its black basalt and yellow limestone cathedral, an extraordinary example of classic Italian Gothic architecture. Reach Siena by early evening, with some time to spare to explore around the gem of Tuscany. Hang out around the Campo to dine at a local cafe and admire one of the most unique, famous squares in Italy for its Palio horse race.

Today, make the drive to Pisa for a mini-train ride to wander around its Square of Miracles and the iconic Leaning Tower, 180 feet high and no less than 16 feet out of the perpendicular. Later on, venture through the wooded Apennine Hills to reach the farmlands of the Po Valley, where you'll be staying for two night in the Venice area.
