Day 1. Welcome to Italy
Arrive in Rome and pick up your car hire. It’s a short trip through the central Italian countryside before you arrive at the Castello di Monticelli in the heart of Umbria. The stunning castle buildings are located on top of a large hill, and have been used for a variety of purposes throughout the centuries. Today the castle grounds offer guests a quiet retreat surrounded by gardens and natural beauty. Toast your first night in this special place at the Enoteca wine bar.

About an hour by car from the Castello di Monticelli are the Sibillini Mountains and the Le Gole di Biselli that offers guests rafting opportunities. After all that activity, enjoy an exquisite Italian dinner at the castle’s Osteria restaurant.
