Your USA Bucket List

It’s high time for adventure, but where do you even begin? The USA is opening and to help you get ready to hit the road, we’ve compiled this list of the USA’s must-sees. Happy travels!

New York City, New York

Concrete jungle where dreams are made of! Bursting at the seams with history, attractions, and incredible food, a trip to NYC is sure to get you in a New York state of mind.

New Orleans, Louisiana

You only need three words to describe New Orleans: fun, fun, FUN. No matter when you’re headed to NOLA, you can expect world-class jazz, ghost tours, and a city culture like no other in the world! And yes, you get extra points if you go during Mardi Gras.

Chicago, Illinois

Chi-Town has tons of famous things to see: the Bean, Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, Navy Pier, Wrigley Field, that list goes on and on. It also has tons of famous things to EAT: deep-dish pizza, jibarito sandwiches, and the world-famous Chicago-style hot dog.

Las Vegas, Nevada

It’s Vegas, baby! Sin City might conjure images of high-stakes poker and slot machines, but Las Vegas is so much more than its casinos. Here, you’ll find world-class entertainment, celebrity chefs galore, and close proximity to famous natural attractions like…

Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Another beloved US national park, the Grand Canyon is powerful to behold. Walk 70 feet above the canyon floor on the glass Skywalk, treat yourself to a helicopter tour, or (our favorite) watch the sunrise from the South Rim. You won’t regret it!

Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

Bryce Canyon’s instantly recognizable hoodoo rocks are only part of the draw to this breathtaking park. Here, you can walk the Navajo Loop Trail, Queens Garden Trail, and the Fairyland Loop Trail. Be sure to make a pit stop at Bryce Point and Inspiration Point for incredible photos.

Yosemite National Park, California

Both a UNESCO Heritage Site AND a National Park, Yosemite is at the top of MANY bucket lists. The pride of California, this extraordinary landscape is 95% designated wilderness which means spectacular hiking trails, fresh air, and some of the largest trees in the country.

Denali National Park, Alaska

Go all the way to the edge of the Arctic, where glaciers, mountains, wildlife, and the Alaskan wilderness come together in perfect harmony. The gargantuan park commands over six MILLION acres of wilderness (don’t worry: there’s only one road and private vehicles are only allowed about 15 miles into the park, so it’s hard to get lost).

Nashville, Tennessee

From the live music venues on Broadway Street to the quirky vibes of East Nashville to the walkable 12South neighborhood, Nashville is hopping! Visit the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Ryman Auditorium, and every BBQ joint you can find.

San Antonio, Texas

An often-unsung hero of Texas, San Antonio has a burgeoning restaurant scene, an endless array of hip art galleries, and no shortage of inventive cocktail bars. Plus, you can see the Alamo!

Charleston, South Carolina

Oozing with Southern charm and hospitality, Charleston should absolutely be on your bucket list. Pay respects at Fort Sumter National Monument, relax on the picturesque Sullivan's Island, and dive into Civil War history.

Route 66

The essence of Americana, Route 66 blazes through Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. The 24,000-mile-long motorway stretches over two-thirds of the continent. No wonder it’s so easy to get your kicks on Route 66!

Washington D.C.

A visit to Washington D.C. is practically mandatory. Stroll along the National Mall, see the famous monuments lit up in all their glory, and dive into the past and present of the United States of America.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Cheesesteaks, the Liberty Bell, and the famous LOVE sculpture can all be found in Philly. Channel your inner “Rocky” by running up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and visit the Betsy Ross house, where the first American flag was sewn.

Boston, Massachusetts

A charming city that's packed with history, “Beantown” is where Red Sox fans can visit Fenway Park, history buffs can see the Boston Harbor and the Paul Revere House, and academics can visit the prestigious Harvard University.

Denver, Colorado

Gold Rush history, irresistible nature, and 300 days of sunshine per year. Need we say more? We didn’t think so but we will anyway: farm-fresh cuisine, baseball, the 16th Street Mall, Denver’s Downtown Aquarium...take your pick of Denver's most fun offerings!

Seattle, Washington

This former timber town is home to a nearly endless list of music legends, vibrant art scenes, and attractions. From Pike Place Market to the Ballard Locks to the Space Needle, Seattle is an adventure waiting to be had.

Portland, Oregon

Delightfully quirky, Portland is filled with craft breweries, boutiques, gardens, and coffee shops. This city is as funky as it is charming. Check out its unique boutiques and visit nearby natural attractions like Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge.

Portland, Maine

No, not that Portland, the OTHER Portland! From the iconic Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth to the Old Port and Downtown area, this city is the "next big thing" for long weekend getaways.

Key West, Florida

Phew! With a bucket list this long, you’ll need to pick the perfect place to unwind and Key West is where to do it. This is the place to find the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, sunny beaches, and Mallory Square’s famous sunset celebrations.
